Ohms Law Montana (Omar Omondi), is a Kenyan rapper and songwriter born and raised in a family of four boys by a single mother in Kisauni, one of Mombasa County’s most violent and crime infested areas.
While in high school, he excelled in physics, earning him the moniker “Ohms Law” which he later adopted into his stage name. Growing up to the sound of hip-hop, he used the music as a release valve from the chaos around him.
After Completing his studies, he was featured in the “Jitambulishe Project” by the Mombasa All Stars as the only rapper, (a major hit in the country) thus propelling him into the limelight. Ohms Law or OLM as he is popularly known continued receiving accolades scoring Hip-hop artist of the year at the Nzumari awards, Coast Award’s and the Pwani Celebrity Awards. In 2018 he put music to lyrics about the rough streets he grew up in and released the ever popular “KISAUNI” catapulting him to regional fame, earning him a spot as the only rapper from Kenya at the Ongala Festival in Tanzania. He has also been featured in newspaper & Magazine segments and also in different interviews in major radio and TV stations in Kenya and the world. With many notable singles under his belt among the “WAMAKATA IMARA”, “MAKE A NAME “STREET STAR” among others, Ohms Law is currently in working on his first album due to be released at the end of this year ( 2020.)
